Placebo Balance

Placebo Balance

If Dumbo had his magic feather, I have my Power Balance that has allowed me to fly. Before anything else, I did not receive any money or any type of bribery to talk about this amazing product. I paid to buy one and in fact, I would rather not share this secret with anyone because it has given me an advantage over my opponents in the sports that I engage in. But since I’m a nice guy and have a big mouth (and couldn’t think of anything to write about this week), I might as well let you guys in on it.

This Power Balance is basically a rubber band that you can wear on your wrist. It has this hologram that supposedly transmits a frequency that makes your body stronger and more balanced (sounds Ernie Baron-ish). At first, I was skeptical because I’ve been had by con artists before, like the time this witch doctor sold me a love potion, which didn’t really work (though my shih tzu keeps wanting to mate with my leg). The sales guy gave me a convincing demonstration. First he made me stand with my feet together and pulled on my arm while I tried to resist, mostly my cynicism. I lost my balance immediately. Then he did the same thing again but this time with the Power Balance in my hand. I immediately felt stronger and was able to hold my balance perfectly even as he kept pulling harder like a dirty old man begging a GRO to come home with him. Then he made me stretch my arm by pointing all the way to the back as far as I could as he marked the spot where my arm started shaking uncontrollably. Surprisingly, when I did it again with the band in my hand, I was able to stretch out farther.

There’s a big chance that this is all just placebo. But here’s the thing, I’ve been playing in an alumni basketball league with a bunch of out of shape 30-somethings and I’ve been averaging about 1.308 points per game. When I started wearing it, I got a 10,000% increase in my stats. Placebo or not, it worked. Now, I’m not hitting Kobe Bryant numbers yet, but as soon as I buy 5 more of these babies, who knows! As far as where to buy it, I’m not telling because you might be going up against my team next week.

yup. AS long as it works, that’s all that matters. whether you paid 300 or 2,200 is secondary.

  2. Tim says:

just curious, has anyone tried other products similar to power balance. I have a friend who swears by this magnetic pendant he wears around his neck. It supposedly makes him stronger.

  3. kcebs says:

people!… stoked in trinoma mall sells it at P2,200. i bought one since they assured me its original but boy oh boy!!!… it’s fake! i had it checked at toby’s and at health & beyond! i will demand a FULL REFUND! or else, i will go straight to DTI!

  4. yayo says:

  5. clain says:

  6. ruby says:

hi sorry for my late comments. i got piled up with my paper works. ever since i got into business, ive become a wise consumer. to all who have been asking why is mine SO CHEAPER.my friend supplier brought it by bulk; im just a direct seller with no further expenses;no tax to pay; no store to worry about; and why would i marked up the price so high if i can get it so cheap; and why would you think its price is worthy of 2,200 when you know the materials is just made up of rubber?

  7. ruby says:

@yayo, by the way im also selling quantum pendant and phiten.of course mine got cheaper price.

  8. kaye c says:

  15. yayo says:

hi peeps! i was able to buy 2 bracelets from ruby today at 300each (promo price for the month of july hehe), and it works…i can’t say though if there’s a difference on the benefits/effects from the power balance sold at health and beyond with the one she’s selling but i can honestly say that it works just fine…
@tim you’re right, as long as it works, that’s all that matters! :D

  16. kceb says:

@mark > > > have it exchange na lang ng ibang power balance sotcks nila. u have to insist and demand for it. have it checked sa toby’s (ground floor/trinoma) or at any health & beyond. try mo din sa olympic village/trinoma if they have na. goodluck!

  17. purebs says:

this isn’t powerbalance, this is pureBS… how can it transmit frequency? frequency is just the number of occurences of a repeating event per unit of time. in other words, f=1/time… 10,000% increase in ur stats? thats 100 times so that means 130 ppg?… u should be in the nba dude!

  18. doris says:

hi po :) i also sell power balance :) it’s a lot cheaper than those sold in malls :)

  19. ken says:

hello, how will you know if it is fake or original? is there any difference between their physical appearance?

  20. Tim says:

hi ken. read the comments in this post as they will teach you how to find out if it’s fake or not. thanks.

  21. luc says:

the power of PB is in the hologram.. fake and original have holograms..do they have the same power?

  22. J says:

I hope this works lol. I’m buying one.

  23. frank g. santos says:

There is a difference between product selling and creative selling. In product selling you sell the product. Creative selling is making the person or prospect think, feel and act for his own benefit. If you are able to do it creatively, the prospect will buy the product…simply said..sell the benefits.

  24. kceb says:

POWER BALANCE FANATICS! PLEASE READ… i personally inquired at POWER BALANCE USA about their products (as i am sick and tired of all those replicas/FAKE power balance bracelets circulating here in the market!). this is their reply:

Thank You for your interest in Power Balance Products. You can
purchase Power Balance products through …Health & Beyond, Stoked,
Osim stores & other retailers in the Philippines. We are working
to expand our distribution network there and will have more retailers
    with products very shortly.

    Health and Beyond locations: ATC,
Glorietta 4, Market Market, Rockwell, The Annex, SM North EDSA,
    Boracay, Cebu, Davao, General
    Santos and La Union

Stoked Locations: Trimoma, Rockwell, High Street, Cebu, ATC, Naga

Osim Locations: Osim Warehouse, Greenhills, Naga & Mall of Asia

Other Retailers: Running Store (Bacolod City) & Gran Trail Bike Shops, select Toby’s & Chris Sports Locations

so there!… and by the way, price varies. P2,090 to P2,200. if you want the legit ones, u know where to get it.

lucky for me i was able to buy four PB bracelets in singapore. and it’s genuine. the store is an authorized retailer. it has s sticker sign of PB and the packaging/box has this “seal of authenticity.” it cost SG$69 (roughly PHP2,277) another thing… new design from PB is that the logo is a bit bigger and the hologram would have the “authentic” & “genuine”. the word “performance technology” is now italics and between “E” & “R” below the word “POWER”.

hope this will put an end to those “fakers!” :D

  25. shiela says:

don’t buy from people or bogus dealers around malls.. better buy it in a legit sports shop like toby,s and the like.

  26. Thiago says:

    Bro,

As I can see in the photo, it seems your wristband its fake (I can be wrong)

    Thanks,

    Thiago.

  27. Joe says:

If you buy it @ 2k+, most likely you’ll say that it has an effect. My friend bought one and keeps on saying that it works, maybe it’s his ego and wallet that’s talking. LOL

  28. jeni says:

sir does your power balance edges are smooth? or has excess rubber.
and is it prone to dust? because is prone to dust. tnx.. hope you reply.

  29. Tim says:

ha ha! that’s funny, joe. the higher the price, the more effective.

  30. Tim says:

hey thiago, are you sure? damn! I bought mine at rockwell mall at health and beyond. and I’ve tried it in games and it worked.

  31. Tim says:

thanks for that info. I got mine at an authorized distributor. Now I can sleep well at night.
