If Dumbo had his magic feather, I have my Power Balance that has allowed me to fly. Before anything else, I did not receive any money or any type of bribery to talk about this amazing product. I paid to buy one and in fact, I would rather not share this secret with anyone because it has given me an advantage over my opponents in the sports that I engage in. But since I’m a nice guy and have a big mouth (and couldn’t think of anything to write about this week), I might as well let you guys in on it.
This Power Balance is basically a rubber band that you can wear on your wrist. It has this hologram that supposedly transmits a frequency that makes your body stronger and more balanced (sounds Ernie Baron-ish). At first, I was skeptical because I’ve been had by con artists before, like the time this witch doctor sold me a love potion, which didn’t really work (though my shih tzu keeps wanting to mate with my leg). The sales guy gave me a convincing demonstration. First he made me stand with my feet together and pulled on my arm while I tried to resist, mostly my cynicism. I lost my balance immediately. Then he did the same thing again but this time with the Power Balance in my hand. I immediately felt stronger and was able to hold my balance perfectly even as he kept pulling harder like a dirty old man begging a GRO to come home with him. Then he made me stretch my arm by pointing all the way to the back as far as I could as he marked the spot where my arm started shaking uncontrollably. Surprisingly, when I did it again with the band in my hand, I was able to stretch out farther.
There’s a big chance that this is all just placebo. But here’s the thing, I’ve been playing in an alumni basketball league with a bunch of out of shape 30-somethings and I’ve been averaging about 1.308 points per game. When I started wearing it, I got a 10,000% increase in my stats. Placebo or not, it worked. Now, I’m not hitting Kobe Bryant numbers yet, but as soon as I buy 5 more of these babies, who knows! As far as where to buy it, I’m not telling because you might be going up against my team next week.

There are some stands selling this at Greenhills. I got mine for 350. I am sure that they are fake but they are working just like what they do in those video demos.

i’m not sure. when i last checked they had black and white. but according to another guy who commented on my post, you can now buy fake ones in greenhills for P350 and it works – according to him.
Hey Tim, thanks for this wonderful insight. I have a colleague that sells power balance bracelets and tried those arm stretching and pulling down and I was unstable at first, believe me I tried hard resisting and I did lost my balance. When I tried the bracelet on, I didn’t have to exert to much effort and I know that they are pushing it really hard (cause I really felt it) yet I hold balance perfectly still. Based on what I have research on these bracelets, it’s the “placebo effect” that we feel and there’s no science to back this argument but it really does work for me.
If it’s mind conditioning it don’t matter it does wonders and yeah you were right I felt like Dumbo with the magic feather.
Hey Steve, thanks for the comment. I know some people don’t believe that the hologram can actually affect the frequency of your body (or something like that). It sounds hokey but I also don’t really care as long as it gives me the results. And the more NBA players I see wearing it, the more I believe in it. I think it’s just what your mind believes.

Got my first power balance in Rockwell mall beside mercury and true value 2 weeks ago. Only to find out I got a fake one. I got it for PHP 2,200. I got a real 1 today for PHP 1,600. I compared the 2, and boy can I tell you that I do not know how that shop in Rockwell can say that beware of fake ones when they are the ones selling them. buyer beware.

How would you know if it’s Class A and Authentic Power Balance Silicone Wristband?
-One, the “P” of the performance technology should be aligned above the DOT between the word POWER and BALANCE.
-The Silicone which protects the Mylar Hologram seems to be embossed unevenly.
-In the Mylar Hologram, look for little logos of PB which seems to be brighter and easier to find than of those dull and light little logos of fake ones.

i agree with you. that’s a big difference from the actual site that makes it. i paid P1,900 for mine and i’m very happy with it. scored 12 more points in my first basketball game. before that, I scored 0 points.

I tried this PB the test works on me, but on the next day after doing some research about this and heard about placebo i tried the test again and it failed
( to bad i really was willing to buy, i really dont care if its placebo or not, the impt thing is that it has to work on me.

Hi Tim, thanks for giving attention to my post. The reason I found out it was a fake is because a friend offered to sell me one and I said I have just bought 1, he insisted and wanted to make sure I did not get a fake 1. He pointed me to the offical website of power balance and there I saw that they did not even make a color white bracelet which is what i bought. I eventually got what he sold me and verified with the official website and other blogs that warn fake bracelets. And it just reinforced that the bracelet I got in the rockwell store was indeed a FAKE. I am still thinking of what to do with regards to how to deal with the store. My dog ate the receipt but I am sure they have a record of my sale since I used a credit card.
Oh wow. I’m very surprised they sold you a fake one as they claim to be the distributor in the Philippines. Now I’m beginning to wonder if mine is also a fake. Although, it did work. So even if it’s just placebo, as long as it works, it doesn’t matter to me. But I think you should go back to Rockwell and tell them what you found. Wouldn’t hurt right? Maybe they don’t know they’ve been selling fakes.

There is a Power Balance – Color White. Don’t know how to determine if is fake or not? But it is less than US$29.95 or less PHP1,400 there is a great possibility that is a fake. But if the One being sold at Health and Beyond worth PHP 2,200 is fake, then consumer should be protected.
